Hopefully someone who has done a 6 bolt block/2g head install will shed some light on this.Originally posted by 95GSXracer
You will need the studs that match the block. But as far as modding the head, I havent done it personally, so I wont answer. Just keep in mind you are putting a 12mm stud through a 11mm hole, and its a tight fit when the stud and hole matchHopefully someone who has done a 6 bolt block/2g head install will shed some light on this.

I just did a 93 head on my 6 bolt block, you don't need to modify anything on the head, because its still a 1g head. You use the 6bolt 12mm head studs and they go in no problemo.

Ok....on my head I did not need to drill anything out. I took the head off of my 93 7bolt Engine and put it directly on to a 6bolt block with a metal head gasket and had no problems. Just make sure they all go thru the holes before you put the head on.
