16 g rebuild???

Ok im lookin at this turbo on a site and if i can get it cheap enough, is it woth it?? It needs a turbine housing, and the seal's are shot he says. So will the housing of my 14b fit on?? And well if i had it od it shouldnt be much to get it done over. As well do u guys no of any where to get rebuild kits, for the 16g???

200 Canadian and will the 14 b housing fit on the 16g?? I thought i read somewheres where u could buy the 16g cartridge and put it into the 14b housing??

just went through my b16g-looks as if the housing would fit from a 14b but it wouldnt clear the compressor wheel.so i guess if you put the wheel and housing on it-but then why not just keep the 14b.anyway hope that helps.

Where can i buy a rebuild kit for the 16g?? And a exhuast housing??

The 16g and the 14b both use the same compressor housing, but it has to be machined in order to fit on a 16g. Therefore, you cannot use the same housing, unless you have it machined, and once you have it machined, you can't use it on a 14b again.

Both 14b's and 16g's will mate up with the standard Mitsu 6cm^2 and 7cm^2 turbine housings.

Yes i phoned forced performance.com and they told me it will fit no problem!! Fot the difference in the 6 and 7 cm couldnt u just port that a little???

Yes, porting helps. A ported 6 cm housing can flow good, about as good as a stock 7cm housing, but not as good as a ported 7 cm housing.
