For the past couple months, I've been having some idle problems. Usually, my idle is fine...but after a nice highway cruise or 10 minutes+ in stop-and-go traffic on a hot day...i suddenly find my idle between 1500 and 2000 rpm.
I looked at my throttle body and ISC motor to see if the ISC was dead...it seems the ISC is still somewhat operational...however, this is no guarantee it's working like it should. cleaning the throttle body with tb cleaner helped out a little bit but i am still having some idle surge on hot days and after highway driving.
i know this is a common problem with 1g's but has anyone else with a 2g run into this? i'm sure the easiest way to correct the problem is to go junkyard hunting and replace the ISC motor... but i would like to avoid any possible re-occurance if i can...
anyone with ideas please help!
