I read that using a BOV that dumps the air out instead of back into the intake that cause the computer to be thrown off. I have a HKS and I have noticed that my car is throwing a little black smoke and idles funny now that I do have a HKS BOV. What can I do to try and fix this? Ive even considered selling the HKS and getting greddy or a 1gn. I'm fixing to get a upperintercooler pipe so I have to make my mind up soon! I like the HKS but I don't like the problems.:( HELP!!!

What happens is the MAF sensor reads the air coming in and says for example you have 6 units of air coming in so say you need 1 unit of air for 1 unit of fuel. So the engine will get 6 units of fuel but your HKS is venting the atmosphere instead of RECIRCULATING it back to the intake. So you'll get say 4 units of air with 6 units of fuel. Makes you run rich and idle crappy.

Get a recirculating kit, but I'm not sure where to get them for the HKS. The only way you can run without a recirculating kit is if you got the nice fuel management stuff. Sorry this is a ### explination but it's basically what happens.

the link for the homemade recirc kit doesnt work anymore, i dont know why but i tried lookin at it a couple of weeks agao and it doesnt work. i have a hks recirc kit for sale, if you want it pm me.
