In fourth gear on the drag strip the hoses to the boost controller blow off.
Boost spike pass 2 bars on pump gas.

the compression is 140, 30 , 0, 140.

i haven't had the head off yet but piston 2.3 are gone.

i hope I cam save the head.

:D time to build a real motor.

i need some recommendations I want a FULL LONG BLOCK.

No:cry: Say it ain't so.
Zip tie those hoses on!!
Buy your motor from someone reputable. And make sure they will stand behind it. A 2.4L from www.pro1motorsports.com is a pretty good buy.

ouch that sucks! hope your head is alright

i went to the track this past friday on my stock clutch with the agp 60-1 kit (also vpc, 720's, fmic, ect. ect.)...LOL it was a joke, launched in 1st and free revved all the way till 4th gear.

time for me to pull my motor and drop a built short block and a new clutch in this week.

good luck on your car!

I just remembered that right after you got the 60-1 on I think I told you to go blow chit up. You know I didn't mean that literally. Try and keep the pistons on the inside of the block.

Kevin

the piston are still inside the block. It's not going to look pretty when It's a part. It a freak thing. The head will be off today we will see how bad it is.

it's time for a 2.4 and fully ported head.

Hey, this is the first I've ever heard of the 2.4L block. Sounds pretty cool, I'm having crankwalk symptoms and am in need of a motor. Will this motor drop right into my 2G? Is there a kit required? More info would be appreciated....:thumb:

Lue, you told me it was a head gasket only. It was a good thing I told you to do a compression test on it first. Those numbers looked bad man....I just wish it was still together, I wanted to run against your car at WIR. Well, wish you the best on your 2.4L stroker and let me know how it goes. I'm always here to help if you got any questions....Tai

thats some shit man.. same thing happened to me..

took the head off piston 3 and 2 is gone. two melted but the block is saved.

Build the block up with forge internal and everything should be fine if tune well. I would personally stick with the orginal 2.0L and not go with the 2.4L. If you go with the 2.4L, you're gonna break more stuff with that much torque. Let me know how it goes with the build up....later
