Oil Pressure

On the way home from dragstrip my oil Pressure Gauge went dead, my check engine light or oil light didn't come on, pulled over on the Hwy to check the oil, it was full, so I decided to continue driving home.

What kind of problems I could be looking at???

probablly the sender went dead.

Should I be worried about the sender being dead, or I'm ok by driving 1hour with it dead.

If you didn't get nasty noises (HUGE lifter tap) and smells, and lots of heat, and no oil pressure idiot light, you probably skated. At least you checked the oil level. Most likely the sender, driving with it not working is like driving mom's car, the one without an oil pressure gauge. If that's all that was wrong -and it's likely it was- you're fine, and will be all better with a new sender.

Senders _and_ idiot light sensors _can_ fail into a leaking condition, you should also look for an oil trail when you stop to check for this sort of thing. If there's a trail, don't risk driving it further. Any tow bill is lots less than an engine..... unless you're visiting Fairbanks or something, but who'd drive a DSM 'way up there?
