If you had a stock 4g63t engine (6 bolt). What would you do to get 350 hp? I am looking to get somewhere arounf 320-350 hp. I know there are many ways to go, just thought I see what you ideas are out there.

I'm looking for roughly the same thing you are, alhough I have a 7-bolt FWD (Spyder).

Turbo-wise there are lots of options and on my sane days I think I should go for a big-16G. On my wild and crazy days I think I should go for a BB, to minimize lag. Some days I think I should get a 50-trim to get the most bang for the buck on 91 octane gasoline. Fortunately I'm still doing support mods so I don't have to figure this out yet.

What I've concluded is what you said, that there are lots of ways to hit the 350 number. As Ross Perot would say, however, "the devil is in the details". Certainly, what nowayout suggested about following the tuning guide is good advice; it will get you in the ballpark.

There are a number of highly knowledgeable, and very nice, vendors that post here all the time. When the time comes to pick the turbo, call a few and talk over what you have done and what you want; you'll get some very good answers.

Thanks guys. I am very new at this, really more of a stereo guy, but I like speed and lots of it. I'm like a nascar driver, I can drive I just don't know how to fix my car ;)

You can get around 300whp or more with a FP Big28, Big 16g, AGP T-28 etc. with supporting mods of course. I'm right at the 300whp with what mods that I have in my profile.

Sorry My bad.. I forgot that you were 1g. Anyways.. I would think you should be able to get around 320 crank hp out of the stock 14b with supporting mods. A 16g would definitely do the trick.
