i was wondering if at the track i just ran the downpipe only would that yield more power and quicker times

Did it :thumb:

In that picture there's a chambered muffler on the end of the down pipe. I had the downpipe just dumped under the car before that.

With an open down pipe the car didn't idle that great, and NO balls down low, and sometimes it didn't want to run right first thing in the morning. I drove it for a few weeks like this. I also got pulled over and got speeding tickets for it. 44/30 and 119/70 OMG

With the chambered muffler it ran way better but didin't have the top end punch. I blew the turbo about 3 days after driving with the chambered muffler. I had a the same muffler on a 91 AWD and blew that car up too

How did it sound wide open?

It sounded like it was broken. When you drove around all you heard was hackitabackaitphtabkaicbak. Loud. It sounded like shit. Imagine 2 lawnmowers, a 1981 Toyota with no muffler, a school bus, and a garbage disposal. All at the same time. In a big metal trash can.

But when you hit 18 pounds of boost....all you heard was the turbo spooling....kkkskssssssssssssssssshskkshhhhssssshhhhhh

:shhh:
