my turbo and engine are dead and iam getting a temporary n/t engine to put in for a while is there anyway is can drive it with the dead turbo?

Umm...a 4g63 non-turbo motor or a 4g63 with the turbo ripped out? If it's the non-turbo then yes, that what it was designed for...driving with no turbo. But if it's a turbo 4g63 without it's turbo, forget it. Even if you could somehow fool the ecu into accepting the boost loss, it would be horribly slow because of the compression.

Never thought you'd see me post in this forum, huh?

I drove my 92 GSX around for 3 days with the W.G. acctuator off, only getting around 2lbs, and it WAS slow, but it was driveable. Just don't pull out in front of people. ;)

BTW, I have street grind Webbs, so that might have helped...

My tubo died last month because I neglected to fix a leaking oil feed line. I drove it around for about 2 weeks with no boost. It was slow as hell and got really bad gas mileage. Finally the oil leak got so bad I was leaving a smoke trail 3 blocks long, and at idle the smoke would surround the entire car and cloud my view. No more driving it for now. I've ordered a small 16G to replace it and it should be here soon :)

My IC pipes kept poping off the past 2 weeks cause I got the VP FMIC Kit and the pipes didn't fit correctly so I ghettoed it and they kept poping off if I hit near 5psi...damn my car was slow as hell I hated driving it...now its getting fixed thank god. Tomorrow I'll have my 300hp street demon back

are you still trying to pull air through the whole turbo/intercooler system? If your turbo is frozen/dead, hook the mas directly to the throttle body elbow to make it easier for the car to breathe. should be just like a stock honda :talon:

Take the "snorkel assembly" off with the mas and everything and rig it up directly to the T.B. like has been said above... The car will run just fine for the most part...and yes it is insanely slow that way...with 7.8:1 compression and no boost it will most likely be the slowest car you've ever driven...even slower than an 80s civic

if you have a tuning device you could even lean it out some, provided you watched your datalogger. a 7.8:1 or 8.5:1 NA engine could go pretty lean without knocking IMO. You can also start buying the cheap gas.

my waste gate actuator poped off over the weekend and i drove about 70 miles home without any boost, thats right i was at 0 boost. The car was Honda slow, but i got home and poped the arm back on and the car is fine now.
