which is better when running a larger turbo, i know you can dump with an internal also, which of these options is best for creep ect...

Exactly It will defnintley control creep better. Just depends on how big your talking. I have an internally gated L2R right now with no creep at 20psi.
 
External. it gets pretty loud if you vent to the atmoshpere with a BOV too. Then there even more noise.
 
Would a tial external be good for say a 16g? I know its not a big turbo but Im just curious.
 
No they all don't vent to the atmosphere. Some can go back into the downpipe (they do this to bypass exhaust gases that would power the turbo). I've personally never heard what they sound like but I've heard they sound like a giant exhaust leak (which in a way it is LOL).
