I'm not quite sure which to get, both are about the same price ($250-280). heres the thing that caught my eye---

"...Additionally, an Electronic Idle Stabilizer function (EIDS) function, which buffers the dramatic airflow meter signal fluctuations, prevents the engine stalling or stumbling effect associated with the sudden imbalances in the air/fuel ratio of airflow meter-equipped vehicles that utilize discharge blow-off valves that vent to the atmosphere...."-from hks's site.

Does this mean the bov can be routed open atmosphere?

Yah, but dont get the hks just because of that i believe the apexi does the same. as for ur first question, i dont know which is better for u but im getting the apexi.

i probably wont get the hks, but when i was reading their description, i was curious about the feature.

I pick up my HKS AFr for $150

i like the 12 piont of tuning.

if your going to get the AFc get the new one it also has 12 pion t of tuning.

The AFR will not help with venting at all. We tried it at the shop and never got it really to work. Just don't vent period.

The AFR has more points of adjustment however I found it to be a pain in the ass to adjust. Everything was pretty well done with one nob and it always had to be adjusted too far. When you go into make changes it also threw things way out of wack. Once you use it you will understand, it's a PITA...

I would say a SAFC even the one with 8 points of adjustment, it's just easier to use, looks nicer and is a proven piece...
