which one should i use the side port to my boostcontroller or the top port to my boost controller.

I used the side port and leave the top port open. This is with an EVC-EZ. I think the top port isn't used for our cars.

I think everyone means that the side port is the one on the outside perimeter and the top one is on the flat part of the wastegate.

A=side
B=top

With the electronic boost controller you use both the top and side nipples. First you set the dip switches on the ProfecB to external. Then run a vacuum line from the compressor housing or i/c pipe to the Greddy black bow "in". Then run a line from the Greddy black box "out" to the top nipple. Then just run another vac line from ether the intake manifold or the BOV line to the side nipple. This will give you the best results.

Ok, well in that case why does my setup seem to be working fine for me when I have the hose from the boost controller going to the side (A). Ill swap it tomorrow but I dont understand why it works fine with it on the side.

That way works fine to. In your case you just have the porfec switched to internal gate and you're running the tial like an internal. This way only works well when you have a good stiff spring in your external.

no no no, I have a hallman manual, not the profec.

Good. The Profec is just another unreliable POS japanize part that will only add headaches. The only good thing Greddy makes is the e-manage and the only japp comany that makes good parts is HKS.

How do you use both nipples with the profec? I've got the profec spec II and the "in" is going to the turbo compressor housing, the "out" is going to the middle nipple on the WG, and the hose going into the unit is T'd off at the Fuel pressure solenoid. This leaves the top nipple free. Where am I going wrong here?

By the way, I can't get over 8psi with this set up, so I am definately doing something wrong.
