Is there any advantage to using a 99 shortblock in my 92 tsi or would it be best to rebuild the 92, both the 99 and 92 would have to be built first, I just wonder witch shortblock would be best to begin with? Sorry if i have overlooked a previous post regaurding this subject.
Thx Mike

92 definetely. The 99 will probably eventually crankwalk, and you don't need that headache. Just build the 92. Plus the 92 has a chance of being a 6-bolt. Either way, the 92>99.:thumb:

thx for the response, my wifes 92 gs n/t has a 7 bolt, i just found out when i pulled the tranny to rebuild yesterday.
