McAllen,
Whats up dsm racers, I got a question about the apexi turbo timer the

one that looks like a pen! Well I wanted to know if it does the job, of

course it does, but it's either that or the new hks turbo timer 1? Post

feedback if you have experience with one!:D

I purchased this 1 week after I had the car. I love it.
It functions like any other TT, and works just as well. What I really like about it, is that it has a built in A/F gauge that you wire up, a volt meter that you wire up, and an 02 sensor gauge.

The o2 sensor reading is what I really like. It is nice having a rough estimate of what your o2 readings are when you are pushing it down the road. Plus, having a built in A/F gauge, you dont have to bother spending money on yet another gauge.

Install is a snap, looks, great, easy to mount using double sided tape. Hell you can mount it anywhere because of its size.

I give it a 10. And the price is good too.

Any pics, I have been thinking about that one also.. Where have you seen the best prices on them??

I dont have any pics of it installed in my car. As far as price goes, I know we sell them for $91.00 plus shipping.

I just installed mine last week and it really is great!!! I bought it and the harness for like 112$ shipped from horsepowerfreaks.com (really nice guys). The o2 and air fuel really aren't an adequate mean of a replacement for any gauges. But it does work great, and the price is awesome for what it does!!!

I love the thing, best 100 bucks i have spent...saves on buyin a o2 voltage monitor and a/f meter (useless anyway) and can be put anywhere, only took me like 20 minutes to install

I love mine. Make sure you get the greddy harness (it makes it a hell of a lot simpler). I think that Options hast them for $80 still, plus the greddy harness is only $10! Options Auto Salon
The auto timer function runs off of your O2/AF readings, depending on how hard you have been driving. I set mine for 4min - 40 sec.

I just bought my APEXi turbo timer and i have an HKS harness (just so no one says buy a harness)...thats not the problem...the problem is it appears i have to rip out the dash to install this POS and then start screwing with the ECU harness...how long does this take and what do i have to tear out of the car to get to it....ANY tips would be appreciated and this is my daily driver so i can't afford down time

i bought one for 80 and still need a harness and to get it installed...looks neato, hope to have it in soon...it would be installed if i knew how to install the damn thing,i am crappy at doing #@%#@%#@%#@% myself

I installed the auto timer in my friends 02 GTI turbo and it works fine, easy as hell to install.I don't know this harness nonsense everyone is talking about,I mean I hard wired it but it's only a few wires it's so simple plus it will save you some $$$.I did'nt hook up the o2 gauge part of this because you cant on new VW's they use different voltages for the sensors just like the new WRX's and if you hook up a Gauge it just pegs rich at all time..Later CoreyD

Go to Opt auto and search for Greddy Harness, they're out of stock now but it makes the TT a little more plug and play.

a harness amkes it super simple to add in a turbo timer....or any electrical device such as a cd player, etc.....they make life easier
