safc, afpr and a in car FPG gauge is a good idea (not necessary but a good thing to have)

If am correct in assuming you are still on the t-25... you could turn up the boost more and the engine will be ok, but I wouldn't reccomend it without egt, fuel management, ect.. Will a t-25 help you out much over 16 psi? No. As far as I know, that is a good way to blow up the turbo.

if the t-25 is the same as the 14b then yea thats what i'm running I do have an egt gauge, i just didnt want to get into get an afc if i didnt have too, funds are low. . .

ohh ok. Well The 14b is a little better than t25. I should have known you had that turbo, sorry. Without afc or something, I wouldn't even drive your car with all that extra fuel. How are you going to keep you car from flooding ? I am sure money is tight, but it would not help your situation to cause any damage to the engine right now. Don't take our word about it as your only source either. Call up road/race or another shop and see what they say.

As far as more than 16 psi on a 14b? Im sure you can do it for a litte while. There are some guys here using the 14b to run 12's so I am sure they are running more than 16psi. I dont know if it is ok to do for daily driving conditions.

Dont put a fp gauge in your car, because that just increases your risk on catching your car on fire, just get a fp gauge and attach it to your new afpr and set your baseline and dont worry about it anymore.

A fuel pressure gauge will not make your car catch on fire. No fuel enters the cabin, a sender is mounted at the fuel filter and only a signal wire breaks the fire wall for the gauge. fuel pressure should always be monitored while driving preferably next to the boost gauge.

Problem with that is Autometer discontinued the old Fuel pressure gauge and sender that you likely bought which was cheap. They are now 3 times the price for the same part. Many of the senders for the $100 gauge failed. You know that fuel pressure gauge with the really expensive sender? Well even the cheap one is now only $50 less which really sucks.

On a side note, fuel should NEVER be run inside the car, that is dangerous. Always have a gauge with a remote sender or your asking for major trouble.

the guage i have cost $255 the sender goes to a processor. then that signal goes to the gauge, the FPG i have is the newest fpg autometer offers

well whats a good afc to get for a decent price, anything relatively cheap that will work till money frees up? everything i see is 400$ :(~

ill sell you my s-afc for 375

the autometer guage that was recalled was the half-sweep guage. the full-sweep guage is still fine.

i would suggest getting the afpr, fp guage and afc soon. fuel system stuff is pricey, but necessary. its kind of one of those things you can't short cut.

What's the advantage of a fuel pressure gauge in the cabin? I was under the impression it was more of a "set and forget" kind of gauge that you only needed to refer to periodically. Is it so that you can make sure fuel pressure is rising proportionately with boost?
