Looking for anyone out there who has made/have had made their own IC piping - I'm low on budget and can't afford to go out and buy em but also can't stand not being able to upgrade the car Let me know

:dsm:

I made my own upper IC piping if thats what you are looking for to replace the stock plastic piece. I just got the info out of the how to section on dsm.org. It worked really well, increase pressure and also helped the sound a little.
not to mention it looks a hella ton better

I think he is talking about the upper IC pipes but 1G cars don't have any plastic pipe or BOV parts. He'll have to find some info on the 1G specific mods. But making your own is the way to go! :thumb:

I converted a stock O2 housing to an external WG dump one day becuase I was bored. Cost me about 3 hours and $13 to do it all. I also built my own full 3".

upper and lower intercooler pipes for a spearco
cold air intake, filter in the stock sidemount location
dumptube for manifold mounted wastegate
2.5"-3" o2 housing for 4bolt garrett turbine housing
3" downpipe, cat, catback
soon a manifold with .120" thick walls

making stuff is fun. nobody around here can bead the ic pipes though, so i'm going to spring for a bead form tool sometime. that way i won't have to worry about sending things out.

For forming beads you can also just weld a ring around the end of the pipe. I did that before and it worked out just fine, no leaks, and no blown off piping.
