I know some say use it, some don't. I am going to use it. What is the correct connection? Do you splice in to the "t" between the turbo, wastegate, and BCS? I didn't see it in my searches on this board. Nothing seems to clear this up for me. Any quick help would be appreciated.

Well to be blunt you obviously didn't search and also obviosly havent even looked at a few of the most recent posts on this board...

There is no correct way to hook it up as its not meant to be hooked up!

Why is it there and why is a vacuum hose included? In my searches-yes I did search, I see it gives a sharper response and can prevent compressor surge.

This may help a bit...got it from another post.

Dont use the 2nd (bottom) NIPPPLE
Quoted from the GReddy website FAQ section (take special note on the parts that I bold and underlined.) BTW.. that VFAQ site that showed the 1/2-A$$ed setup of the Type-S using the wrong (1st Gen BOV) flange and the lower NIPPLE connected to boost.. one word.. WRONG! I love this thread because I get to say NIPPLE.. NIPPLE NIPPLE NIPPLE!

http://www.greddy.com/technical/

"How do I set the adjustment? The top nipple on the top section will connect to the intake manifold (behind the throttlebody, so it reads both vacuum and pressure. Make sure it does not get bled off to anything) while the lower fitting is a vent for the internal diaphragm. The lower nipple should be left open and not be connected to anything. Make sure when you adjust the stiffness of the valve that you first loosen the lock nut before you adjust the setscrew. Adjustment will very from car to car, so you will need to use trial and error to find a good setting. Generally you want to valve as tight as possible, without getting any compressor surge. (Compressor surge will sound like a stutter.)m You don't want it too loose or it can open too early and you will loose boost. The valve should make one clean blowing sound, it should not stutter. It should also not open before the throttle is shut. "

.. Still from the GReddy site..

"What is the lower nipple for? The lower fitting is a vent for the internal diaphragm. The lower nipple should be left open and not be connected to anything. Do not plug up this opening. "

I have heard people ahve good luck pluggin the bottom nipple. They say it will hold more boost and react quicker.

I have mine connected and it works perfectly. With it hooked up, it helps to open the valve faster, and makes more of a louder sound. Although the Greddy Type-S gets rerouted back into the system, on my car it is extremely loud. I ran it with, and without the bottom nipple, and I found that with it hooked up, it was easier to adjust it and reduce the BOV sputter since this valve is very tight...even when it's adjusted to be loose. I'm running a stock T25 at about 14-15 PSI, and the Type-S is running perfectly. BTW, I have the bottom nipple hooked to the nipple that comes from the turbo.

After hooking up the MBC, my friend and I had blocked off the turbo nipple, but it even says in the Greddy Type-S instructions to route the lower nipple to the turbo nipple for faster/louder BOV response. Why it says it in the directions, but says otherwise on their website is beyond me. So I hooked mine up to it, and it works perfectly.

(Now if your running a bigger turbo, with higher boost, this connection is probably less necessary since more boost is going to open the valve faster anyway.)

My thoughts exactly. Where is the line exactly from the turbo that you used? Is it the one that goes to a "T" and to the BCS?

I don't know what is going on. Using that set up, boost spikes to 20 psi in first 3 gears and as high as 25psi in 4th and 5th before settling in to 12-14 psi. I can hit fuel cutoff anytime I want in like 2 seconds by punching it in 4th or 5th. Obviously something is wrong. I'm not driving the car until I get this figured out so I don't kill the turbo.

I just disconnected the bottom nipple. Everything is normal. Boost hit16psi then quickly settles to 14psi or so. Why???

Do you have a boost controller Flint?

If not, then that's what your problem is. I looked at your mods list and it says stock.

Most people on here eliminate the BCS when they get a boost controller, and cap off that turbo nipple. So if you want to route the lower Type-S nipple to the turbo nipple, it won't cause any issues if it's not connected to the BCS anymore. It sound's like your car doesn't have any boost control at the moment.

I don't have a Boost controller. I think your right. I am not sure I need one at this point because 14PSI is right where I want to be with the T25 I think.
