convert to a timing chain?

has anyone ever converted their timing belt to a timing chain?

Good lord, I'd doubt it. Chains run in oil- you'd have to devise a leakproof cover, oiler, hydraulic tensioner, another water pump and oil pump drive.... Just too much there to do.
