hey need some help on the wiring/install on the fjo wideband on a 92 awd

for the green wire, you are suppose to hook in into a tach input...where have most people connected this? just to the rpm signal that goes into the ecu? seems like the most obvious place and easy to access.

and the blue wire, it goes into a 5v auxilary input, (map, tps, ect) wel iv got a vpc on my car, so should i just hook this wire into the vpc's map sensor? if so, just anywhere between the sensor and the vpc? i wouldnt think i would want it ater the vpc (between the vpc and ecu) any sugestions?

any help/input would be apreciated. thanx

Sorry,

Not the reponse you were hoping for ... but I think it is due to the lack of DSMTuners that actually have a wideband for their cars. It's a cool mod, but likely a little pricey for most of us - thus no advice for install help.

I think your best bet would be to PM some of the "Wisemen" and see if they can answer off the board, or atleast they may be able to point you in the right direction.

If nothing else, at least you got a BUMP out of it. Good luck.

awsome, if you could let me know how your install goes and also where you mounted the big box at (thinking of puttin mine around there the stock battery is since i have it relocated)

i want to be 110% sure of the wiring and everything before i go ahead and install it..last thing i want to do is accidently hook it up wrong and #### something up

thanx

I heard that. My main concern is that I don't fry the wires in the engine bay haha. I'll let you know once I get it hooked up.

hey, did you get a chance to install it this weekend? if so how'd it go? details! thanx

Which kit did you get? The full blown $1000 one or the $750 with just the red/green LED read-out.
The green wire is only needed for the most expensive kit and the blue wire is used for logging purposes. Example would be using DSMlink or something along the lines of an AEM EMS. Otherwise it's pretty much just power/ground.

ive got the more expensive kit with display and datalogging

Errr...haven't heard of anyone that even has an FJO without a standalone or dsmlink at the least, muchless a person that bought the full-blown kit. I seem to remember instructions of some sort that came with mine.
The green wire is just a tach signal so pick it up wherever you can, ECU should be fine.
The blue-wire I would then assume gets hooked into the datalogging kit somewhere. On a ProEFI, it replaces the OEM o2 wire because the standalone doesn't need the stock signal to function.
Sorry, not too helpful, but you're in unchartered waters as far as I know.

thanx for the input...the blue wire is suppose to hooked into 5v signal, they reccomend the tps or the map...in my case i think map would be the best but im not sure where the best place to hook it in at is (if there is a best place) or if it would be more benificial to hook it in somewhere else....
