i finally got around to getting my pump rewire done the other day when
i got stumped. i have a 95 tsi awd and on the pump harness there r
5 wires going in. from what i saw on vfaq there was only 2. i measure
volts and found 2 power sources. one made bout 6.5 volts the other
bout 11.7 volts. i figure the 11.7 is going to the fuel pump, if so how
much gain is there to another volt? anybody done this please let me
know. i already have 10 gauge run just chilln in my back seat so if
somone could help it would be coo...

The two BIG wires are the ones going to the fuel pump.

The three little wires go to the fuel gauge.

The rewire does help keep the voltage up. It makes a big change in my car.

ok, i did this recently, there are five but three of the wires should be visibly smaller, so that leaves two. i think the ground is black obviously, and the power is a really dark blue with silver stripes, does that sound right? another way to figure out which to use is to get your two wires that are running a voltage, and use the bigger, cuz it goes into the pump, not the most technical answer, but it worked for me, pm me if your still stumped and i'll take a picture of how i did it on my car.

Yes. That sounds right. There is also a page on RRE's website that give more detail. Vfaq.com might help too.
