I have a 91 Eclipse GS-T everything is stock except for the free mods.
I just installed my boost gauge in the beginning of the week and installed my Joe P MBC last night. Before I put in the MBC the new boost gauge would only read a max of 5 psi. I got the MBC tuned to 10 PSI, which ofcourse you guys know this is a problem......I should have had it at 10 PSI to start!!! I thought the stock BCS was really tuned low so that when you get the car it's only 5psi and then getting a MBC you can kick it up to 14 PSI. Well, I got the boost controller to 10 PSI and I'm fairly sure I'm not getting anything more. (Huge difference over 5 PSI) What could be happening???? I only suspect a leak. I have read that 2G BOVs are pretty weak and they start leaking at around 11 PSI and that 1G's are stronger.....BUT I HAVE A 1G!! Could someone give me an idea of where to look or what I could do?? Thanks!
