any idea what the SSQ sounds like recirculated?

i have heard plenty of them vented, but none recirculated.
 
When you are putting in the recirculating piece you have to take out the sound insert, this makes the bov loose the trademark HKS whistle sound. This is just what I've heard. LsrRStyle, if you could get a sound clip of your bov recirculated when you get it installed that would be great. Good luck!

exactly, i actaully have that piece if you want it (i just remembered), i should have it downstairs. i will sell it to you if you pm me. cheaper than the sites also. i can't use it cause i have no connections on my intake pipe. its pretty quite if you recirculate, very quite whoosh
 
You can make a recirc piece yourself. I did using a pcv pipe. Its a little ghetto, but it works and you can keep the splitter that gives the bov its sound. Here are some pics:
