For those of you who have the L2R turbo, how tight is the fit for you? I have to dent the hell out of the big water pipe to get the turbo in there. How else do you get it in there. I also craked my ported 2g mani so i'm stuck with my unported 2g mani........and in the process or porting that.

Yes you have to dent the water pipe but its worth it for that turbo.

No denting of the water pipe is needed unless you get the bigger compressor housing.

yup, my turbo has the to4E housing also, i used the hahn spacer also makes the install a breeze:thumb: no leaking issues either.

I believe the spacer is .5" thick. I dont think there will b eany claerance issues wiht an external gate, but Im not positive. AS far as the TO4S cover is concerned, it will most likely require the spacer A\ND some denting of the water pipe. The thing is huge!

I just installed my L3R with the T04E compressor housing without the spacer. Installation was easy. All you need is a big hammer :)

How much thread is left on the manifold studs with a .5" spacer? I think I only have a little more than 1/4" past the bolt as is.

you have to buy the longer arp manifold studs, you can get them from hahn also.

I actually just finished my water line setup for my GT charger, It will use stainless braided 710 line from goodridge -06AN size, and will bolt to a GT with no fitment issues what soever. I am using the TO4S housing, I was definatly not going to play the water pipe game.

so how did you avoid the water pipe game?

how come u didnt use the stock water lines?

Well, when I had SBR build my turbo, I specified that I wanted a 5-bolt T3 turbine housing, the header actually moves the turbo away from the water pipe so there is no need to dent it, I had just sent the water pipe to be powder coated, so once that and the header gets back, I will install everything. As for the water lines, they dont cut it for me, I do not hack, Id rather spend a hundred or so and get it done correctly, I have been working with SBR to get a water line setup built for the GT charger, I pretty much got all the fittings I needed, Mike will be getting me the lines that I want, the lines should be here soon, once that is done, I believe that SBR will be making this setup available for the GT charger.

I had SS AN waterlines on both my AGP GT turbos. Anyone can make SS water lines. Just order the parts from summit/jegs/baker and put them together.

Ya think? ;)

I built them myself including all other lines on my machine, however most people dont feel like fishing around for those fittings and lines and going to the trouble to make them, so you buy them in a kit, just like some people do for oil feed lines, fuel lines, etc....

In my opinion, it would of been nice if someone had already made this setup available for purchase, it would of saved me the trouble, not to mention one less thing I have to worry about.

You had some sort of weird fitting on that water line you sent me. It didnt want to mate up and seat on the water pipe end. Where the heck did you get it from? I had to go to an industrial fittings place to find one. It ended up being some crazy carb fitting.:D
