hard intercooler piping....

ok....I have a quick question. Now I think I heard it somewhere that having hard intercooler piping makes your turbo loud at idle, rev, and low rpm driving. Is this true? Isnt hard pipe better than rubber. I have a friend at school that when he revs at idle, idle and low rpm driving I can hear the turbo(Im not talking about the psssst or whine) noise pretty well. I drive a 95 gst as you can see.thanks

they are 100% better then the stock rubber pipes. they don't expand or leak at boost if installed tight at the joints. they will probaly make you be able to hear the turbo spool more, but nothing that is annoying.

It's the turbo inlet snorkel that affects the sound the most. It's a good performance mod to replace all the piping with hard pipes.
