Someone on this site suggested i run a hose from my comp housing nipple to the wastegate actuator.. anyone hear of this? He says that it should limit boost to 14-15psi. Im using a home depot brand MBC right now and am spiking pretty bad.. opinions?

2g.. so that will keep it at 9-10 psi? is there anyway i can set it @ 14-15 with a controller? ...i've heard about messing with the WG actuator..?

From what I've seen, the T-25 WG spring pressure is about 9-10 PSI, so if you run the hose directly from the compressor housing to the wastegate actuator, it should only give you that amount of boost. There are pretty much just two ways to hook up an MBC to a boost source:
1) between the WG actuator and the compressor housing nipple
2) T it off the BOV line

I have mine like #1, and I have practically no boost spike at all. Many others have reported similar experiences hooking theirs up this way, but I've also read of guys hooking it up the #2 way and having good results as well. The theory goes, though, that the less hose you have, the quicker the response and the less the spike. Which is why I chose method #1, and I'm satisfied with that.

You do have your stock BCS hoses unhooked, right?

yeah the BCS isnt hooked up.. maybe ill try my MBC betweent the wastegate and comp nipple..where is your mbc mounted to? and which one are you running?
