Wondering if you can use a round filter on the fp 4" intake pipe since its oval shaped. I've read the thread about guys using the 9" k&n filter, but I don't want to use that one. Also is there another 4" intake pipe you guys are using? Pics would be nice.

I have a 9" AEM on my FP intake.

I would think the shorter the filter is, the harder it's going to be to get it to go oval.

I think It will be very hard to get it to go oval. I personally would get one that would fit correctly.

I tried both the Spectre and Vibrant "cone" filters and was unable to get either one to squeeze on to the FP intake. Ended up running the K & N 9", fits perfect in the bay, can't see any reason not to run it.

I made my own 4" intake using 45° Coupler, 45° Aluminum Pipe, zebra clamps, and round 9" K&N filter.

Because I'd love to have a blue one to keep the bay matching. Its gonna kill me hard as I've worked on the bay to have a red filter.

Looking at my avatar makes me want to go paint my motor mounts.:p
