How much would be a good price?

my car has no compresion and was wondering what would be a deasant price to pay to get it fixed. Either buy another bottom end or rebuild the one I have. Any opinions would help thanks.

no compression dose'nt always indicate a shot bottom end,it could be something as simple as a blown head gasket or a hole burnt in a valve(s),you have absolutely none, across the board?

it read like 5 psi at the most and i think its the bottom end because the car was flooded with fuel and since then it dont want to turn on, no matter how much you crank the car. The car used to run fine it was just parked in my friends drive way and someone turned on my external fuel pump for about 10 minutes.

first off I would like to say...check the gauge and where it clips to the tube. I did a comp test and I read 5-25 then I found out I was leaking so I tightened the connection and I read 165-175 across the board. If this doesnt work then try a wet compression check. Your problem is either bad piston rings head gasket or burnt valves. Check the gauge first I dont believe, in fact I know a car wont run with only 5 psi all it would do is sit. good luck...hopefully its just the gauge:thumb:

it wasnt the gauge because i tried it on my brothers car a crx and it worked fine then I decided to try it on my car again and it marked 2o psi. How much would you say it would cost to rebuild the bottom end if that would be the problem.

Ok, so if someone ran your external pump (I'm boggled that you have it set up like this, but don't mind me) and that resulted in engine damage, I have to assume that you have a leaky injector, which then filled one or more cylinders with fuel and hydrolocked the engine. (Can the starter actually do any damage in this case?)

Given where you are, I would call Mike or Ty at Road///Race Engineering and talk to them. They won't jerk you around, and the job will get done properly.

Good luck!

if the car turns over it will mostlikely be piston ring damage. if these rings are chipped then you wont get any compression, the same goes for burnt valves. The only way I could see the bottom end being the culprit is if it took a walk...no better yet ran and took the pistons with it.

did you do a wet compression test? if not put about 3 drops of oil in the spark plug holes(only do this if the car can turn over) do a comp test with the oil. If comp goes up then your pistons are fine if it goes down then your rings are bad. if you dont want to take this chance the do what the above guy said and save yourself the trouble and get it done proffessionally. good luck:thumb:

Ummm... hello people? Even if the fuel pump was on (which I seriously doubt she knows the difference between a fuel pump and a penis pump) the injectors AREN'T on. No fuel would be getting in there anyway.

Regards,

Please explain this to me dsmgirl, Id like to know what happened that made your car just stop running??? Aslan is right about this FP thing...Anyhoo your rings/cylinders can go bad from flooding the motor but thats beside the point. What happened:confused:

I know it sounds weird but my car was running fine when a shop put the fuel pump on and I drove it to my friends house and parked the car. The fuel pump was set to turn on with a button and my friends sister pushed it on and was running for about 10 minutes. I just dont know if the ignition was open or not. All I know is the car ran and it wasnt raced, after I parked it rwo hours later it would not turn on and smelled really bad like gas so we decided to leave it over night but the next day it still wouldnt turn and and the spark plugs were wet with gas. I have tried everything even puting oil into the pistons. I am in the process of taking it to road race to get it fixed and tuned because i fingot an AFC.

Dr Zipplock hey I have tried to get an apointment to take my car but have hade no luck with Road Race E-mailing back. I guess i am going to try and call them.
