:dsm: i have a 98' gsx and i am replacing thetop end with a 1g, will the throttle body from a 1g wokn my 2g?

Hello, I am reviving this old thread of mine that never got answered. I have a cyclone intake but am using my 2g throttle body(due to amount of vacuum lines). I have a larger, 1g, throttle body I would like to use but it has one less nipple for vacuum lines. How do you 2g guys run these 1g throttle bodies? Thanks in advance

Bolt on the 1g TB and connect the sensors as you normally would. Usually with this mod we eliminate all the vacuum lines at this point and cap everything off.

my fault, this was my dads USER CP from a few years back when we began this project. I have now taken over the build and stumbled upon this resource(DSM TUNERS). I greatly appreciate all the help and assistance.

That would be incorrect. You have to run 2 vac lines off of 1 nipple on the 1g tb because one of the vac lines off of the 1g tb we cant use. One nipple on the tb is unused. We cant use the 90 tb. Just search it. I promise. You will come up with many threads about the subject. :thumb:

Thanks for the correction, i was just stating though the non-vacuum way of hooking it up, which would relatively had been simpler, but yes you are right about the 1 less nipple.

Yeah, get rid of the dumb vacuum lines unless you need them for emissions testing. It simplifies and cleans up your engine bay a lot. I have almost no vacuum lines on my 2g and none of the solenoids on the firewall. I haven't even gotten any trouble codes for having the stuff removed and the EGR blocked off.

I was thinking about doing that myself. My bay to me is cluttered and dirty. That will be my next project.
