me and a friend (airbrat on this board) built the intake pressurizer thingy a few days back.
both of us leaked a LOT of air through the threads around our MBCs. his is a joe p, mine an xbc.
its easy to do. just take the controller out, put it on a workbench, unscrew the brass nipple fittings (be careful not to lose either of the small balls), put teflon on the threads, and screw them back in. no more leaks! after you do this, you're going to have to turn up your boost again, as all the newfound airflow through the controller will open the wastegate much easier than with the leaky seals.
my vdo boost gauge suffered this same problem, as it had an identical brass nipple fitting for the vacuum line.
keep that boost where it belongs!
