Is 190lph enough for 660cc injectors?

Hey, I currently have a 255lph Fuel pum with 660s. Unfortunately, I dont have an FPR. I ordered one 2months ago from a certain company that does nto return calls, or emails(LarryD warned me).

I dont want a different FPR, cause I dont want to do any custom work. So, I have my VR-4 Fuel pump(for my NA 3000GT, which I am planning on turbo -ing) I can always use the 255 in my 3000 when I turbo it. That wont overrun my GTs FPR

The question is, is that pump large enough? I have an ETE32 turbo.

I think so...but there is only one way to find out for your specific application. Its not like there are hard to install anyways...

If you get the the correct fuel line you can run 660's with a stock pump. I personally am running -06AN lines from front to back. Fuel line upgrade they have a good explanation under the fuel section.

Pump sizing has nothing to do with your injector sizing. Well not exactly anyway. You decide what injectors/pump you want based on how much power you intend on making and how much boost you plan on running.

Thanks for the info everyone,

I want 300WHP out of this AWD car. I would perfer a fuel pump that can max out my 660s(so that I have maximum tuning abilities). but for now, I need something that wont overrun my stock FPR.

4 injectors flowing 660cc/min = 2640cc/min
2640cc/min x 60 mins = 15840cc/hour
15840cc/hour = 158.4 lph

In other words, yes, 190lph is enough for 660's.

I'll be running a 190lph walbro with some 660cc ball-disk style injectors with my GT10. Mike from SBR said that it should be fine for my needs, so you should be fine with the 190lph. Good luck.

I would also make sure that the pump has the correct voltage being pushed to it. As I recall, the 3KGT 190LPH pump doesn't make 190LPH unless is has at least 14 volts going to it. It only pushes about 140ish on the 11.7 volts that the stock wiring puts out. Do a re-wire. Visit www.vfaq.com to learn how.

Matt.

The 3KGT VR-4 pump flows 180lph @43psi @12v. All Denso pumps are rated at operating pressure and 12v. Walbros are not. (The Walbro 190 flows around 150lph at operating pressure and 12v.)

This page has some good info on fuel pumps. The Denso 150lph actually looks like a better buy than the 190lph since it flows more at 14v and 73psi. Wish I had been able to find one before I got the 190 walbro.

Okay, so a 3000GT VR4 Pump is 180lph? And a Stock 2G eclipse is 130lph? if that is the case, then I guess 180lph may just be enough....

I just need help tuning the car when I get the VR4 pump in. I dnot want to redyno tune the car till I get all my mods. (IE an FPR, LS1 intake, and MSD ignition)
