Has anyone ever tried putting a larger compressor housing on an otherwise unmodified Big16G? It has been speculated that the Big16G would be more efficient with a larger housing, however I am having a hard time finding the evidence. I see that Slowboy has just modified their Big16G by putting a T3 compressor housing on it. I believe this was mainly to to make it more 2G friendly. Is this T3 housing bigger than the unmodified Big16? Does anyone know if this had any effects on this turbo's performance? Also, has anyone else tried doing this to a Big16? BTW, I know that Hahn has tried using a 10cm^2 compressor housing and to no avail. I would rather this discussion be HRC free.

Peace

HRC dos 10cm turbine hosuings not compressor housings...thats designated by a different name a number. but I to would like to keep this HRC free =) Id just call SBR and talk to Mike and see what hes smokin. I personally would want to have any other compressor housing but the td05H on the 16g...

No, I know exactly what that does and I'm not interested. I am just interested in replacing the inefficient and outdated Big16G/TD05H compressor side setup with something that is more, well ... efficient.

Austin: Thanks for the clarification! heh. I dont know what is more ludacris, 10 cm. on the turbine side or compressor side of their turbo? Anyway, HRC free none the less. Also, I e-mailed Slowboy to clear up the question about the SBR-2G Big16G. Looks to me like the T3 compressor housing he is using on it is a tad bigger than the TD05H. We shall see.

Peace
