I noticed over at www.extrememotorsports.com they have a boost gauge install kit, but I can't justify spending 25 bux for part that probably cost less then $10.

What all do I need to install my autometer z series boost gauge??? I'm also installing a EGT and dash bezel at the same time so it would be nice to have everything I need.

if your buying the gauge brand new you really dont need anything...i just needed some jb weld..im tired and cant remember why tho....the xtra stuff u can get at any hardware store.

ok....the gauge comes w/ everything to get you from the back of the gauge to the engine compartment..i mean..you dont need anything else for the back of the gauge..but you need to get a T, i used a fish tank T, and a small iece of vaccuyme hose..heres my setup..i T'ed off the fuel pressure solenoid....the hose that comes w/ the gauge is really small..so i put it into the T a little..then put jb quik around it to hold it in..then just hook up the vac hose to one side..then another hose going into the solenoid on the other...pics...everything is fine w/ me...cept my vac at idle is like only 13/14 on the t25?!

The best wat to do it, the way that the "install kit" will come with is a machined brass "t" fitting a compression fitting and 2 hose Barbs. If you are buying an autometer gauge just take the brass fitting that you will find in the package to a hardware store or a industrial hose shop and just ask for a "1/8 NPT T-fitting " and 2 small hose barb fittings to fit the T. I got mine all for about $4
