Engine problems..

I just bought a 91' laser turbo, for 500$. and its not running right. its sounds like it has a cams in it, it rumbles.but when you hit the gas, the turbo doesnt spool. or create any boost at all.Does anyone know what it is? or have any advise? a couple of my friends said it may be the head gasket.And also the first piston has hardley any compression. Thanks John

needs a rebuild then, if it has very low compression.
