stafford,
I don't have access to the internet as I did before, so I have to make these questions brief.

I just bought a Apex FMIC, the GT spec, along with the larger piping.
I have the full Apex N1 exhaust system, and a Apex Intake. While testing my car, I run rich at 17 lbs of boost, so is it safe to go to 18 lbs of boost? Or should I remain at ~16?

Just for safety concerns..

Also, my friend with a VR4 wanted me to ask about spark plug gapping. With the increased boost, he said that I might have to regap my plugs. Is this true? And if this is the case, what should the measurements be?

Thanks abunch. Any input is greatly appreciated.

Marty.

What are you using to quantify richness?

Gap your plugs to .028

Well, I have an A/F ratio gauge along with a boost gauge, and at WOT the gauge reads 2/3 bars rich (green). So I figure this would be ok. Not quite sure though.

Thanks for the spark plug info.

You've probably heard this a hundred times - that a/f gauge is useless, get an EGT.
