It all kind of depends on your definition of street driven. There is a guy on this forum HiPsi91 that runs a 10.8@131 and every once in a rare while that will be driven around. I’m sure there are a ton of people here in the low 11s. I run 116 traps on pump gas.

What type of advice are you looking for?

I'm just looking for real upgrades and real times on a daily driver..... I've just seen too many that sound impossible. No mods listed and no photos, but I'm suppose to believe 10 and 11 sec. 1/4 miles. What have you done to yours? That car is hauling.......

This car has had a few different fuel and turbo setups on it so I really dont have a back to back comparison for you. Depending on what type of turbo you have and what other supporting mods you have cams can bring a noticeable gain. But it depends on what you are looking fo/what you can deal with in terms of driveability.

Thanks rdrkt......

You're one of the first menbers that could give me a straight answer. I respect that..... I am still running the stock 14b. I am thinking about the FP Big 16g that's on sale, but I'm just not sure.

FP big 16g would be a very good choice for a near stock car... just follow the performance recipes that are out there for our cars... then once you get to stage 2.. or better then you can decide how you want to be different... alot of mods won't make ANY difference untill you have some of the other mods that are supposed to come before it... IE... turbo porting isn't gonna do a damn thing if you don't have an exhaust... ect...

well, i am getting in the 12's this season. which isn't that bad with a stock 14b turbo and front wheel drive.

Well, I ran 8.00 at 89 on my old setup (1/8th mile LOL with a leaking HG. I have since just finished replacing the HG (4 ply metal), put in Web Street cams, Crower springs and titanium retainers, and an IRC Street core FMIC kit. I have not been able to run it at the track yet, but it "feels" like a totally diff. car! Before I did the cams, springs, and tit. retainers the car had a ported "stock" head. It would literally "fall on it's face" at 7100-7200rpm. Now she'll pull to 8000 like it's nothing :D God what a wonderful sound! I am very excited to see what she does at the track now. She just feels SOOOOO much stronger. I can't wait! I'll keep you updated. Here's my mods list...

Built 9.0:1 JE piston motor (top and bottom end), Web Street cams, Crower springs and titanium retainers, M100 pocketlogger setup, TMO Stage III ECU, IRC Street FMIC Kit, Type-S BOV, Dejontool 2 1/2" intake pipe w/ 2G MAS and DIS intake, ported 2G manny, FP Tdo5 20G ported/clipped, Extreme 2 1/2" SS O2 w/ 40mm Tial W/G, Hallman MBC, Buschur 3" Turbo-back, Walbro 255HP rewired, Denso 660cc inj's.
