fly wheel cluch line up

i just got an act xtrem presure plate and street preformance cluth with a fidanza fly wheel. this is my first time going this far into the engin and i want to make shure non of my parts are defects.

my fly wheel and pressure plate have a gap of about 1/4 in width when i have them toghether with the cluch in between them am i sopose to have this gap

That's normal. When you tighten the pressure plate bolts the gap will close, that's how the PP clamps down on the disc. You will also see the angle of the fingers flatten out.
