i was cleanin my engine bay the other day and i decided to check for leaks on the lower i/c piping... so i pulled the lower i/c pipe and noticed that there was this huge black plastic thing..more like a resavoir* .. now, does that restrict the air goin through the I/C pipes? can i remove it? im just totally wondering why that huge thing is there... thanks for the help :dsm:

its generally regarded as a baffle. you can yank it out if you have a beaded piece of tubing to put in its place. i'll be placing my lower pipe on ebay soon. its mandrel bent and chrome plated. i'm only gonna start bidding at like $1.

take it off, it is just a dirt box, so dumb get the dejon lower pipe, costs 60 i think and replaces all
