How much power can i make with my stock cams

I have a 97 GSX i just bought a green and all the other good to go along... Now im wondering how much power can i make with the stock cams????

depends on how you tune it...

however, i think you should be asking how much HP with aftermarket cams. if you get a monster turbo, cams will result in huge gains (if your car is properly tuned). Web & HKS cams will result in at least a 40hp increase (if properly tuned). personally, i don't see the point of running a turbo like a green on stock cams, when there is a lot more potential to be had with Web or HKS cams (with proper tuning, of course)

I think the question he ment to ask was: "what horsepower can be suported with the limited air that the stock lift/duration cams deliver?"

or

under ideal conditions how much HP can the stock cams support?

I would be interested in the awnser myself...

yes each setup is different... but the maximum amount of air that a stock cam can flow is a set amount... how much HP is supported by the MAXIMIM flow value of the stock cams?

How would anyone possibly no that?? What Im saying is regardless of the size, things change according to tuning, timing advance and the whole setup really. Do you think just cause the cams are static that if someone doesnt port there head or get a small shot of nitrous oxide or anything like this will make a difference? I know people have made around 400whp with stock cams. But Id be willing to say tha if someone was trying to make a record or something (because there is no set amount like I said earlier) that more than 400 could be made...

Well if you would fuggin listen to what Im saying you would find your god damn answer There is no set amount of power you can make with them as Ive said numerous times before. Some people have made a lot some do headwork and get cams before they even start to maximize the stock ones. As I said earlier some people have made a little more than 400whp some a lot less. Dont be an asshole cause noone replied "" Yes Mr. Willy you can make 450whp before you have to upgrade your cams...""

nowhere in your original post did you ask if it was worth it to keep the stock cams. A whole bunch of people said that in previous posts, then you posted again that you wanted to know how much power you could make with stock cams.
