hi i just right now put a D.Brode UIP, used 1g BOV and clean the intercooler with water and alcohol. after all this the car have trouble when taking off at first gear and reverse it just shuts down after stalling.

And at idle my a/f ratio gauge shows sometimes rich for few seconds and also the led dissapears from the gauge.
all i can think of is that mayve i didnt let the intercooler dry ans still has water inside i dont know.

please some advice

sounds like you have intake leak.. It probably caused by your BOV or untight clamp. Tighten all clamps and keep us posted!

i am sure i tight everything real good. but right now i will reset the ecu and check clamps. what about if there is water inside de intercooler nothing?

If u gas it a couple of time, the water will be sux through your engine and "burn" away. It won't last long. If all your clamps is tight, my next guess would be you have leaky BOV??

Do u use a gasket on the bov?

You need one

Are you venting the bov to the atomsphere?

Dont do that, I belive the 1G bov leak no matter what

Tighten all clamps and everything should be good, besides that there is no reason you should have problems. I have the same UICP and BOV and I dont have any problems

thats another thing another dsm member told that water in the intercooler go to the engine and can crack a head. but i dry it but i can never be like 100% dry i shake it good and let it air dry before install.

VENTING TO ATM. IS IF YOU DID NOT HOOK THE BIG HOSE FROM
THE TURBO INLET PIPE TO YOUR BLOW OFF VAVLE.

THAT COULD BE THE PROBLEM THAT VALVE IS NOT MENT FOR THAT

ALSO CHECK OUT DSM.ORG BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING ELSE TO YOUR CAR.

Yes it can crack your head only if your engine is hot and you are pouring a lot of cold water onto it. A little "moise" from your UICP isn't going to affect anything.

Make sure you vent back to your intake. There should be a hose connecting the BOV outlet back to the intake hose.

i hook all the hoses in their original place. everything is hooke like a tow truck :) i just drove it now at 90% WOT and i hera the famous swooshhhh is this good???? also like a chiming kind of whisling noise from the front?
