Ok which spolls faster? Big 16G or 20G I ask becouse I hear ppl saying how fast a 20G spools up..

Also what is the max boost each can putout without damage?

and what rpm on MOST setups would you expect the turbo to come on at?

and last question at what point (psi) do the two of them start blowing just hot air...

Well I do have one other question.. which FMIC would work better for the big 16G a DSS FMIC $1,100 or the spoolin up FMIC ($800) the spoolin up has a larger area and flows more air or so it says.. but I dont think it's a direct bolt on like the DSS... but keep in mind if the Big 16G isn't enough to get the whp i want i will upgread to a 20G... sooo which of the two could probly handle both easy.. or could either handel a the two turbos easy? becouse the last thing i wana do after cruseing around is to try to race someone (yea illegal) only to have a heat soaked IC..

big 16g spools faster and im too drunk to read and reply to the rest.

Do you realize that the 20g is a larger turbo than the big 16g? The 20g is going to take longer to spool then the 16, but it will be more efficient.

There is not really a max boost either can put out "without damage." With the 16g, you're going to start getting to its limits around 24 psi, depending on other conditions. The 20g should be able to flow enough to give you over 26 psi, when you start to push the limits of a stock block.

Turbos are ALWAYS blowing out hot air.;) However, with the 16g I'd guess somewhere around 25 psi it's starting to get really inefficient, and the 20g is probably somewhere higher, around 28. This is all purely speculation though, you'd have to look at the compressor maps to find out.

RipperXX, I thoroughyl explained this sh!t to you in the other post yoiu posted about the same thing:rolleyes: The 16g will spool faster...why? Because its a smaller turbo! You say you want XXX HP just like everyone else, youll just have to go in stages and see my man. NO need to buy a turbo where yoru at right now anyway.

No boring .030 over will not get you 80-120hp, and no a 16g will not get you 400whp or even close to 400 flywheel horsepower unless you know what your doing....jus tlike I said in the last post

I tried explaining in all the many posts that peopel put up about these 2 turbos because I have direct experience because Ive had both. MY 16g got 18psi at ~3150...my 20g got 20psi ~3400. This shoudlnt be of much relelvance to you or not because everyoen does different port work, has different 02's and DP's, different CR and different drving technique among other things... Both turbo's re fuggin awesome and as said before if you really want 400whp and your limited to those 2 turbo's then dont be a fool, get the 20G:thumb:

ok calm down in my last thread i said something about this but i didn't directly ask the questions so i thought i would.. i thought some one might could give me numbers on the turbos themselfs (as if they were hooked to a compressor or something to drive it) or just a stock engine as a test bed...

*sigh* looks like it will be even LONGER teal i can complete the car 100%. looks like about a yr and half long project now. :( (i kinda wana make it a mid to low 11 sec car but i guess that would take along the lines of 500+hp sooo since i dont wana put 9+ grand into it to bad for me i guess..
