I am planning on running some new forged Wiseco pistons w/ either 8:1 or 9:1 compression ratio. The car is mostly street but may someday see some track/drag. I will be upgrading my 16G to a T3/T4 at some point also. Is a T3/T4 safe w/ 9:1? I plan to run somewhere around 25-29psi so I think 8:1 would be safer. ( and yes I will be using some ceramic coatings :):p

It depends on how well you can tune. 8:1 is more forgiving, but when you raise the boost to compensate for the power loss (as opposed to 9:1) you are back where you started. boost and CR are very similar, the difference is boost is more easily varied.
