Im in a tough situation here......

Ok heres whats going on. Im sad to say that I am selling my talon. But heres the good news, a really good friend of mine who happens to be a girl is going to buy it. This makes me really happy but there are a couple problems. #1 the auto tranny needs a rebuild. Now I dont have the technical knowledge to rebuild an auto tranny ie- Ive never done it before. #2 I hear that an engine rebuild at 120,000 miles is highly recommended. My car is almost there and I want to know how much you think it would cost to get it done somewhere. I could do it but I just dont have the time. Now I dont want to risk it because she is a really good friend of mine and I dont want her to be stuck with a #### ass car. Now how much do you guys think I would be looking at to do this? Here is a cool note though, she wants to make it faster eventually, but she wants to keep the auto. We could add a shift kit and high stall tq converter later So what do you guys think I should do?

if its 1g, ive got an auto for sale (93 AWD assuming thats what youve got...) cheap

some info on what car it is would be helpfull.

120k is a good point to rebuild from but its DEFINANTLY not neccisary, ive seen em last far longer than 120k if you do many mods, ide recomend it tho. and then again price depends solely on how much you want to spend and how fast you want to go.

As far as the rebuild goes I dont think we would do anything to enhance performance, just a basic stock rebuild. Ive never personally rebuit an engine so I was wondering if it is possible to make it stronger and maybe faster without screwing up the drivability.
