What types of supporting mods would help to reduce lag or increase a turbos response time. My 20g doesnt hit full boost until about 4k. I know things like cams and 1st gen throttle body and intake can help, but will they make dramatic improvements to lag. The guy I got the turbo from said it boosted around 3500 for him. It was on a 1st gen before though so thats why I am thinking that there might be something I can do to improve lag a bit.

Also what is the safest psi to run on regular 91 octane given my current mods. I had it up to 25psi when trying to dial in my mbc and the logger showed no timing pulling, but it only takes a reading every second or so. It was showing timing at 33 degrees for most of the run though, only when I stop does timing go to 4 degrees. It idles pretty rough but thats to be expected with those injectors.

Heres the mods

2.5inch greddy evo cat back, k&n intake, greddy upper and lower intercooler piping with type-s blow off valve, S-AFC, 720cc injectors, frank 2 turbo, 3 inch downpipe to straitpipe, ported exhaust manifold, ported 02 with dumptube, pocketlogger, mbc, custom 3inch intake

He probably just had full 3 inch exhuast.

You should go with a 3 inch catback. The 2.5 is slowing down your exhuast with a 20g.

A lightweight flywheel, lightweight crank pulley and Balance shaft removal.

Thoose 3 will make your engine rev faster.

Also you might check your base timing. Maybe advance it a little bit so the engine makes more power whenit isnt in boost.

Holy shite Bret!!1 I didnt realize you had a 2.5" catback with 3" DP/TP... damn!! That is where the problem is. You shoudl be able to spool it fully at about 3500-3700 with what you have. But Im telling you dude, don't push it with the stock sidemount. Im sure if you get a 3" catback youll ipick up a lot. Did you fix the leaks and outlet from teh turbo yet? You shoudl post a nice long log of a second, third and as much of 4th as you dare.... then let it cool and show just a 3rd gear pull (heatsoak will screw you with that stock smic). Other than that, your manny, turbo and o2 are heavily ported and awesome!! All you nee dnow is the catback and fmic
