14b to 16g

I know there is a 16g to 20g thread going around but i didnt want to highjack it.

A friend of mine was telling me instead of buying a new turbo i should just rebuild my 14b into a 16g... I was wondering if this could be done. If so could you link me to a site that has how tos on this are any other information. I have searched for hours about this and have found nothing so im thinking that it cant be done. Thanks in advanced

that site doesnt really help me. It just says send it to them and they will do it, but there price is pretty high. If everywhere is that high i will just go ahead and buy a new one.

well, you've probably already seen this, but if not, it has good info on extract the most out of your turbo...!

Hum.....Yes i have seen it but never paid full attention to it. I guess that would hold me off till i get a bigger turbo. Thanks man.

I don't know much about rebuilding the turbo. But I do know you can buy the 16G "core" without the exhaust turbine housing cheaper than with it, and you can just reuse the smaller 14b one.
