well this is how it goes.. yesterday i was talkin to my buddy who thinks hes knows everyhtign bout dsm cuz is brother has a 2g.. anyways his brother bought a jdm cyclone intake manifold i told its niec to have but wont do him to to good and to not expect a big difference in performance.. well the greenhorn from portugal was tellin me the intake is gonna do alot and the car is gona be much faster with it then with the factory intake... he still has the 2g head and he thinks putting the jdm intake on with it is gonna be good i told him it wont.. so i was wondering if someone has flow charts or anythign that i can prove to him that hes not gonna get what he thinks hes gonna get thanks guys

try vfaq.com i think they have one...i know i have seen one just search google.com or sumthing. i belive the cyclone intake flowed a little less then factory (usdm) but im not positive on that.

Tell him to put it on and see if the car is faster. No real point in debating the issue any further. its been covered about 10 billion times.

yea you have a point thanks.. and another thing please dont start gettin all mad with me but this is what he said that i just couldnt stop laughin about he said he did this mod to the factory injecters which allow more fuel now tell me this kid isnt a bullshit talker or what!

there is. you run a wire directly from the battery to your inj. they flow all the time then

oo but thats what he was talkin about he was talkin bout like modding the injecter itself like cutting a piece or opening the port for more fuel

Hmmm, so he is putting a cyclone intake on a 2G head. first off there is a flow restriction because the ports on the intake are larger then they are on the head. Thats going to cause a nice disruption in air flow.

If he was running the cyclone intake on a 1st gen head then I've read that it will incrase power in the midrange but WOT the car will not perform as well.

as far as the injectors i'd be guessing he just took out the screen/filter.

well...Its kind of a last chance filter. However, i've never seen any debris in any of the screens i've taken out.
