Im on a tight budget! OK I have a 2g with all the usual begginer mods. Im thinking about getting a 14B and a supra sidemount intercooler. Will I see significant power gains with this setup over the T-25 and stock sidemount? What parts do you use to connect a 14B to a 2G? How much do you spend on parts? Is it a 1-4 hr job or a weekend job? Basically I want as much info as possible on how to install a 14B in a 2g. How much boost can the 14B make efficiently? Do I need a AFPR and/or a walboro 195 fuel pump? Whoever has a 14B in a 2g just help me out! And how much should I pay for a great condtion 14B and for a good condition 14B? Thanks alot, Matt

why not just get a t28....bolts right on and has more power gains. they are around 500 bux

Where can I get a T-28 for $500? I could run a stock sidemount for a while right? I still want to know about the 14B though, thanks alot. Matt McLaughlin

I have a 14B installed on my 2G and it's been a great bang for the buck. A 14B installs just like a 16G so you would need a 16G install kit. And it will take atleast 4 hours to complete the install. It's not hard, just time consuming. Check out www.cardomain.com/id/dsmstreetracer to see all the mods I have with my 14B and a dyno graph. I dynoed at 291whp and 251lbft tq. That was with the stock SMIC and approx 18psi with hardly any S-AFC tuning (as you can see by the AFR graph on my dyno page). My best time was a 13.7 @ 101 with an exhaust leak, boost leak, and the wrong spark plugs.

buy a 14b for $100 bux. resuse some water lines. reuse the oil return.
use the first half of the t25 line and the last half of the 14b line and connect with fuel injection line.

for air, cut the stock licp b/w the 2 90 deg bends and put in 10" long 2" I.D. exhaust tubing with beads welded onto the end and clamp it onto your smic and the 14b outlet.

enjoy the power increase and boost till redline.
took me about 6-8hrs and cost ~$25 for parts (hoses and clamps)

Do yourself a favor and get the RRE Hacker/tweaker kit. It comes with all the gaskets you will need and the j-pipe which makes things way easier. I tried my own style j-pipe and it took awhile before I got it right. I loved the turbo and ran 13.6 on 13 pounds of boost with 93 octane. Now I have much more but the 14b spooled fast and held its boost just fine. Depending on how nice of one you find will determine how much it is, unported probably around 100 bucks. Ported with bigger wastegate..250 maybe a little more. Just shop around.
