I am in the process of upgrading my injectors from the stock 450's to some denso 720's with my 20g turbo. My problem is that the 720's have a bigger tip that goes into the engine. I pulled out the plastic gasket that held the stock injectors but the new 720's arent big enough to fit tightly with the gasket removed. Did I get the wrong kind of injector? or do i need a special plastic gasket to go in the hole.

seems like you got the wrong injectors. I just put some on the other day, and they are the same size as the 450's but greenish blue tops. Direct plug and play, took 20 minutes to do the swap. Do a cross ref on the part number with yahoo search or what ever and see what you come up with.

OK, just call the place you bought the injectors from, and tell them they sent you the wrong injectors and make sure they have the correct car for your order. I know they will be happy enough to replace them for the correct injectors. :thumb:  :dsm:

If they are denso's they should still use the o-rings that fit in the head. Only the Bosch ball/disc style injectors fit with them removed because the o-ring is on the injector itself.

I did a search on the number on the side of the injector. It showed that people with dodge stealth tt, and 3000gt used the same injector. Im going to see if they fit snug enough not to leak tommorow. Its raining now and I dont want to mess with installing them now. Im glad I was smart enough to have alternative transportation before buying a dsm. Not knocking them but the car is a biotch to work on.

On one side it says Denso and the other it says 195500-0830, tell me if you guys with the 720's remember it being the same. The top is where the electrical connection goes is blue by the way.

I am thinking of taking a dremel tool to the plastic inserts to open them up a bit. I should be able to buy new ones from the dealer if I ever go back to stock injectors, not likely Ill ever need bigger ones. Im going to check and see if it seals properly without using the inserts at all first.
