Is there a difference in these components between manual transmission and automatic transmission 1Gs?

I was told by someone that the actual steel bracket that bolts to the engine block is indeed different. That would probably make the crossmember and/or roll stop a bit different as well.

I don't have any A/T 1Gs in the area to look at. Can anyone confirm?

Yes they are different. There are different numbers stamped on each. I do not really know if the chassis mount is different. I know the trans mount is different too.

I actually swapped my a/t to a m/t. I did not need the change any of the mounts other than the trans mount. I have heard that they are different, but unfortunately I do not know how. I could get you a picture of my front mount if that would help. I am FWD so that probably wouldn't help if you an AWD pic.

I also swapped to manual and didn't need to change the front roll stop. Having owned other original 5spd dsms, the mounts are different, but i believe its the bolt locations

I did a recent 1g awd auto to manual and only changed the tranny mount. I have noticed though that my front motor mount looks like its 2 inches off center when everything is bolted together. Everything works great so im not complaining.

Thanks for the info, guys.

After I posted this thread, I had thought to compare part numbers in CAPS. And you guys just confirmed everything that I had learned. :)

Can anyone check the side of the mount/bracket on an A/T car to see the number that's stamped on it? I figure that's about the best way to differentiate between the two.
