I am putting my engine back to together and there are 2 thing holding me up.

1) On the passenger side, just to the right of the trans mount. There is a blue and white cylinder, next to that there is a black cylinder with a nipple on top of it and a hose going to it. I broke off the nipple coming off the top while putting my engine back in. Any one know what that is?

2) Next to the Cam Angle sensor, there is a plug that I can't find a home for. This is a gray plug with 2 wires (white, black with white stripe). This plug run the same length as the Cam Angle sensor connector.

thanks for your help. :thumb:

I cant picture the canister in my head since I havent had any emissions equipment in years, but its probably part of the egr or purge cylinder function.

I just looked at my car (although its a 95) and the 2 grey plugs I have in that area are a 4 pin inline plug going to the TPS, and a smaller plug that connects to the knock sensor which has another harness wire that might have fallen out of view.

My knock sensor is already connected. So it's not that I don't think. This unknown plug is on the opposite side of the timing cover, right next to the cam sensor.

I will take some picture tomorrow.

thanks guys.

As far as the broken nipple on that cylinder, if my car runs fine, I will just forget about it.ROFL

Oh, I was thinking you meant on the passenger side of the engine. Is it a triangular shaped plug like the cam sensor? If so then its probably the crank sensor. But if that wasnt plugged in the car wouldnt run. Theirs also the AC harness right there.

you have a 95 and I have a 98 so we are probably looking at things differently. My cam sensor is on the Passenger side. So you are right, the plug I can't identify is on the Passenger side. Sorry if I confused you.

Thanks Dude. You rock. That was the Knock sensor. Forgot all about that darn thing. I am saving that page for future use.:hellyeah:

One down, and one to go.
