Question About Fuel Pump

How manditory are fuel pumps? i thought that fuel pumps were for when you turn up the boost, it would give the engine more fuel? well when i turn up the boost now on stock fuel pump, it runs really really rich. it is mandatory to have a fuel pump? if so, how big of a pump should i get? i'm having the plans of getting the BIg16g here soon. which one will best fit that? will it clash with the stock turbo in the mean time?

Does anybody do their own research nowadays..Get a Walbro 190 or a fp from a VR4. same thing as a 190..happy????

A 190lph pump will be fine for a 16g and for the stock turbo. The 190 does not require you to run a FPR (fuel pressure regulator). The 255 pump needs a FPR and is not needed for a 16g.
What is telling you that you are rich, a blinky toy A/F guage? Dont trust those.

You "could" run the stock fuel pump with a 16g but you would need to get the boost at 14psi or less.
